Depot in the Castle 2026: Full Line-Up Announced
Cardiff’s much-loved summer festival Depot in the Castle is back for 2026 — and the full line-up has officially landed. Taking over the iconic grounds of Cardiff Castle on Saturday 25 July 2026, this year’s one-day festival is shaping up to be one of the biggest yet.
Headlining the day are indie favourites The Wombats, bringing their era-defining anthems to the heart of the city. With hits like Let’s Dance to Joy Division, Greek Tragedy and Moving to New York, they’ll close out the festival with a huge sing-along set.
Joining them as special guests are pop icons Sugababes. Fresh from their biggest UK arena tour to date, the trio will bring a hit-packed catalogue spanning Overload, Round Round, Freak Like Me and Push The Button to Cardiff Castle.
The Full Line-Up
Alongside the headliners, Depot in the Castle 2026 will also feature:
Red Rum Club – known for their mariachi-tinged indie sound and massive live shows
Ben Ellis – fast-rising Cardiff talent making waves on home turf
Afro Cluster – high-energy Afrobeat, funk and hip-hop influences
The Family Battenberg – local favourites with an energetic, riff-driven live set
Ian Davies
More Than Just Music
Set against one of the UK’s most unique live music backdrops, Depot in the Castle is a full-day celebration. Expect local street food traders, family-friendly activities, and a buzzing festival atmosphere from gates open to last song.
Following last year’s sold-out edition headlined by Jess Glynne, Depot in the Castle has firmly established itself as one of Wales’s standout summer events — and 2026 is set to raise the bar once again.
