Pasture Announced as Exclusive Food Partner for The Garden at Blackweir

Cardiff’s acclaimed restaurant Pasture has been announced as the exclusive food partner for The Garden, the premium area at this summer’s Blackweir concert series.

With demand already high across the programme — and general admission tickets sold out for several dates — The Garden has quickly become one of the most sought-after ways to experience the shows. Pasture will now be serving guests throughout the series, bringing their signature fire-cooked dishes to the heart of one of Cardiff’s biggest live music events.

The Garden offers a more elevated way to enjoy the Blackweir shows, with a dedicated viewing area close to the stage, a private Garden bar, premium facilities and exclusive food from Pasture. Guests will also benefit from separate entry lanes and a souvenir wristband as part of the experience.

Known for its fire-led cooking and bold, ingredient-driven menu, Pasture will be serving a range of dishes inside The Garden including flame-grilled burgers, signature steaks served with house-made sauces and vegan options.

Sam Elliott, Chef Owner at Pasture, said:

“We’re incredibly excited to be partnering with the team behind Blackweir and bringing Pasture out of the restaurant to such an iconic setting. Cooking over fire, serving great food and being part of a landmark event for the city feels like a natural fit for what we do. We’re looking forward to welcoming guests into The Garden to soak up the atmosphere while enjoying the flavours and fire-led cooking that Pasture is known for.”

Nick Saunders, founder of DEPOT and promoter of the Blackweir series, added:

“Pasture are one of Cardiff’s best-known independent restaurant brands and a brilliant fit for the kind of premium experience we want to create at The Garden. With demand so high across the series, we want to give concertgoers a memorable way to enjoy some of the summer’s biggest shows — with great views, great atmosphere and fantastic food from the Pasture team.”

Several shows in the Blackweir series have already sold out, including The Cure on 24 June and Lewis Capaldi on 30 June, with limited Garden availability remaining for selected dates such as Teddy Swims (26 June) and Pitbull (4 July).

For fans who already have tickets, VIP Garden upgrades are available for selected shows, offering the chance to move into the premium area and experience the event with the best view in the field and exclusive food from Pasture.

The Blackweir summer series will bring thousands of music fans to the city as major international artists take to the stage at Blackweir Fields — quickly establishing itself as one of Cardiff’s landmark outdoor live music events.

Garden tickets and upgrades are available now.

BLACKWEIR 2025: A Huge Success and Just the Beginning

What a fortnight! Over 100,000 music lovers came together under the summer skies for the debut of Blackweir, Cardiff’s newest large-scale music series – and it was nothing short of spectacular.

Hosted at the city’s largest greenfield venue, Blackweir Fields, this brand-new concert series brought legendary global acts Stevie Wonder, Alanis Morissette, Noah Kahan and Slayer to the heart of the Welsh capital. As promoters, DEPOT Live – alongside our partners Cuffe and Taylor – are thrilled to declare Blackweir 2025 a resounding success.

“To have such huge artists grace our stage has been incredible,” said Nick Saunders, founder of DEPOT Live. “The feedback from fans, artists and the community has been overwhelmingly positive.”

Making an Impact – On and Off Stage

Blackweir wasn’t just about the music. Over 3,000 people were employed across the site, with the majority being local to Cardiff. In total, more than 40% of attendees travelled from outside of Wales – delivering a powerful economic boost to the city.

Local businesses, hospitality venues, and cultural leaders have praised the series for energising the summer season. From packed hotels to buzzing restaurants and bars, Blackweir showed how music can lift a whole city.

“Events like this are invaluable,” said Carolyn Brownell, CEO of FOR Cardiff. “They deliver a meaningful boost to the local economy during a traditionally quieter period.”

What’s Next for Blackweir?

This is just the beginning. We’re already in conversations about how to bring even more global icons to Cardiff in future years – and we’re committed to making each year bigger, better, and even more inclusive.

We’ll continue listening to residents, partners, and concertgoers as we shape what comes next for Blackweir.
