
Biffy Clyro announce huge Cardiff Castle headline show
Scottish rock icons Biffy Clyro have announced a major return to Cardiff this summer, set to headline a huge open-air show at Cardiff Castle on Thursday 30 July, as part of TK Maxx presents DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle.
One of the most influential and consistently powerful live bands to emerge from the UK in the past two decades, Biffy Clyro have built a career defined by explosive performances, emotional intensity and anthems that resonate across generations. With multiple number one albums, a fiercely loyal global fanbase and headline slots at the world’s biggest festivals, the trio remain at the very top of their game.
The Cardiff Castle show will see the band deliver a career-spanning set packed with era-defining favourites alongside material from across their acclaimed catalogue, all brought to life in one of the country’s most iconic and atmospheric outdoor venues. Fans can expect a high-energy, emotionally charged performance that showcases exactly why Biffy Clyro are regarded as one of the UK’s standout live acts.
Joining them on the bill are Mercury Prize-winning indie rockers English Teacher. The Leeds four-piece have earned widespread acclaim for their debut album This Could Be Texas, with critics praising its sharp songwriting, ambition and emotional depth. Rapidly becoming one of the most talked-about new bands in the UK, their appearance adds serious weight to an already unmissable lineup.
Opening the show will be rising Glaswegian punk outfit Humour, who have been building momentum with a run of standout festival appearances and support slots across the UK, Europe and the US.
This announcement marks another huge moment for DEPOT Live at Cardiff Castle, continuing a summer programme that brings some of the world’s biggest and most exciting artists to the heart of the city.
